Rain spoils the weather in West Bengal

Due to incessant rains in many parts of the state including Kolkata, the weather pattern has deteriorated. People are feeling the heat during the day and mild cold at night. Because of this people are falling prey to viral diseases.

In a statement issued by the Meteorological Department on Tuesday, it has been told that the maximum temperature in the capital Kolkata is 31.6 degree Celsius, which is three degrees less than normal. At the same time, the minimum temperature has been recorded at 24.7 degrees Celsius, which is one degree above normal.

Apart from Kolkata, Hooghly, Howrah, North and South 24 Parganas, East and West Medinipur, Purulia, and Bankura are also receiving intermittent rains, due to which viral diseases have started increasing.

The Meteorological Department has informed that intermittent rains will continue throughout the day in North and South Dinajpur districts, due to which further drop in temperature can be recorded. It is also raining intermittently in Alipurduar, Cooch Behar, Jalpaiguri, Darjeeling, and Kalimpong in North Bengal.
